{Black, far from being negative, symbolizes depth, identity, and African spirituality. It is a color of strength, memory, and resistance. The fragments of broken mirror evoke the wounds of African history, but also resilience. I show that with these scattered pieces, we can rebuild a beautiful and coherent form. This is a metaphor for Africa rebuilding itself without denying its scars, its origin, and its identity. The cannabis leaf, often a symbol of life, heritage, and nature, is used in medicine to treat certain ailments. It can reduce stress, promote sleep, and intervene in other therapeutic areas. It embodies a reminder to African descendants of the union that reigned among our ancestors. It is also used in ancestral rituals to travel from the physical to the spiritual world. During the slavery period, it was a union that represented a form of rebellion in the eyes of the colonizers. Unfortunately, this knowledge was not passed down through generations, causing a break in the link with the motherland and ancestral heritage. In conclusion, through this work, I invite African people to unite, reconnect with their ancestors' roots, and keep in mind that even broken, we can shine. Even in darkness, Africa retains its light.}

ASSOGBA Pascal, known by his civil status, is a student. Alongside my academic path, I am a self-taught artist known by the name of LYNO. Developing a personal artistic approach, I base my work on experimentation and the constant search for authenticity. Through painting, drawing, and mixed media, I explore the themes of African identity, social realities, and the human being.

I master various techniques: painting, drawing, mixed media, installations, creation of original works and thematic series, artistic production adapted to international standards. My work actively participates in the valorization of contemporary art, particularly Beninese African art, on the international scene. I am committed to promoting cultural and artistic riches through an innovative, responsible, and intercultural dialogue-oriented artistic approach.
